Tattoo Tuesday

April 15, 2008

“Don’t worry.  The sound is more dramatic than the pain,” Auntie Zeliha remarked, reading her mind.  Then she added with a wink, “Besides, that customer is used to it.  This must be his twentieth.  Tattoo is an addiction sometimes.  One is never enough.  With every new tattoo you will discover the urge to get another one.  I wonder why addiction recovery centers have not included this in their programs yet.”  (p. 249 The Bastard of Istanbul)

It made me laugh out loud when I read it.  This is the “finished” tattoo on my shoulder.  I had the lion done and was not happy with the size so I had some filler added around him.  It had been done for a few months I just haven’t posted about it since the original.  In total this is #4.

If you are not part of PRGE this go around, you don’t have to pay attention to what follows.

  1. I like it! 🙂 I only have four in total, but probably have at least 5 others planned. Yep, it’s totally an addiction. My husband warned me when I got my first and I didn’t believe him.

  2. I have 1…have had it for…oh, 33 years, but never got a 2nd.

I’ve enjoyed looking through your pics over on the sidebar.

    thanks!

  3. Nice tatoo. I think if I got a tatoo it would probably be a dragon, maybe.
