Sherbrooke Cowl

July 28, 2008
Ah ha!! She knits!!  Here is my finished cowl. . . the Sherbrooke Cowl from Lolly.  It is a really cool pattern that is fun and fast to knit and can be made to order as far as the length and width goes.
I don’t really know how I feel about cowls.  I have never really worn one and seeing as it is in the 80’s/90’s around these parts at the moment, I haven’t really tested it out.  I think it will be cool to have several cowls to choose from for the winter in place of scarves.  I think that may be my fashion statement for the cold season.  We shall see.  I have several book marked on Ravelry and since they fit the bill for a fast knit you will be seeing more of these in the future.
“Tah” for now.  Have a great week ahead!!
Peace~  Dawn

Eye Candy Friday: Reconstitute

July 25, 2008

In the course of life we get dried out, used up. . . defeated.  Life is the key.  It is all around us and there for us to use.  Reconstitute yourself.  Listen to the sounds of nature, have a favorite treat, indulge in a page or two of a good book, listen to your family or friends laughter.  Man, it feels good to be refreshed.

I hope you all have a great weekend.  Use it for yourself and regain some of that resilience we are all made of so we can be there for what really matters.  {{HUGS}}  ~Dawn

Passing the Time

July 24, 2008
See, I still knit.  I was sitting outside on the front porch, knitting while awaiting a thunder storm.  It didn’t amount to much but we got a little rain out of it.  Anyway, while I was sitting and knitting I thought to myself, “you should get a picture of this so people can see you still knit”.  See.

Just A Little Paint

July 22, 2008

This was the project de jour over the weekend.

My husband made these awesome chairs and we had stained them that blah red. They have faded over the years and I wanted to bring a little of that beach feel to the deck so. . .

5 cans of spray paint later.

Eye Candy Friday: Into the Mystery

“No better love than love with no object,
no more satisfying work than work with no purpose.

If you could give up tricks and cleverness,
that would be the cleverest trick!”
